Justice Undone

I first heard about this story the other night on NPR (my favorite radio station). What the AP story conventiently leaves out is that Rideau kidnapped and shot three bank workers that night. And Ms. Ferguson didn't die just because he stabbed her, he cut her throat, nearly sawing her head off. And now he gets out? After being convicted three times?! Okay, he was convicted by an all-white jury, but nobody, including Rideau, denies that he committed this crime. I guess if you want to murder someone, just become a journalist after you go to prison, and get a "get out of jail free" card.

The people of Lake Charles, LA, where the murder took place, seem upset. No kidding. I seriously don't understand how this can happen.
